Insurance 101
Federal law requires insurance to cover mental health treatment at the same level as physical health. IOP, PHP, and therapy sessions are covered services — not elective. If your plan covers knee surgery, it has to cover your mental health care at the same rate.
Trademark Therapy Services is in-network with most major Georgia plans. In-network means we've agreed on rates with your insurer — your copay is lower and there's no balance billing. We're not out-of-network with the plans we accept.
A copay is what you pay per session after your deductible. Most Trademark clients with commercial insurance pay between $0 and $40 per session. If you haven't met your deductible yet, your first few sessions may cost more — but we'll tell you that upfront.
What You'll Actually Pay
These are typical ranges based on our client experience. Your exact cost depends on your specific plan, deductible status, and level of care.
Most clients pay $0–$40 per session. Your exact copay depends on your plan. We verify your benefits before your first appointment — no surprises.
Georgia Medicaid members typically pay $0 per session. We accept all major Georgia Medicaid managed care plans including Peach State, CareSource, and Amerigroup.
Income-based sliding scale fees are available. Cost is never the only reason we turn someone away. Call us — we'll figure out what's possible.
No Insurance? No Problem.
We offer income-based sliding scale fees for clients who don't have insurance or whose insurance doesn't cover their care. We believe the question "can I afford this?" should never be the final answer to whether someone gets help. Call us and we'll figure out what's possible.
Sliding scale fees available based on income and household size.
We'll walk you through your options and help you understand your out-of-pocket exposure before your first session.
Denials happen — and they can often be overturned. Our billing team handles appeals.
Medicare
If you're 65 or older, or qualify for Medicare through disability, your outpatient mental health care is covered. This includes individual therapy, group therapy, and intensive outpatient programs. Trademark Therapy Services is a Medicare-credentialed provider.
Medicare typically covers 80% of the Medicare-approved amount after you meet your Part B deductible. Services covered include: individual therapy sessions, group therapy, IOP, PHP, and psychiatric evaluation & medication management.
Insurance Questions
Most commercial plans and Medicaid cover IOP and PHP as medically necessary services. Federal mental health parity law requires it. We handle prior authorization and we'll verify your specific benefits before your intake.
When Trademark Therapy Services is in-network with your plan, it means we've agreed on rates with your insurer. You pay your copay; we handle the rest. Out-of-network providers charge whatever they want and you may owe the difference. We are in-network with all the major plans we accept.
If you haven't yet met your annual deductible, your first few sessions may cost more than your copay. We'll tell you exactly what to expect before your first appointment — not after. No surprises.
Yes. Georgia insurance plans are required to cover telehealth at the same level as in-person care. Your copay is the same whether you come in or log on.
Denials happen — and they can often be overturned. Our billing team handles appeals and will work with you to ensure you get the coverage you're entitled to. We don't just accept a "no."
